A-4 Connections
One of the best parts about having a local museum is that we find amazing connections between our aircraft collection and the community. These amazing connections are just another reminder of how small the world can seem at times.The following update is from Bob Paul regarding our A-4.
I did some research and found two pictures of CE-17 in action at Chu Lai. I'm still waiting for info from the squadron. Our A4's were painted as pictured. The vertical tail slots were painted a dark blue as shown in the CE-3 picture. I also have included a picture of our squadron insignia. Although we did not have them during Chu Lai, they were displayed at the top of vertical stabilizer on both sides. We were known as the Vagabonds back then.
Hopefully I'll have more to follow.
