Mark Woodward
Mark 'Woody' Woodward is another Navy man. Woody served aboard DE-693 in the Atlantic, and APD-78 in the Pacific!! A two ocean man. He attended the Univ. of Indiana and was scared the war would be over before he got there!! He went to the recruiting station in Chicago. From there he went to Great Lakes for boot camp. He later received Officer Training at Notre Dame. As a Boat Officer he took UDT-14 to Leyte Gulf, Iwo Jima, and Okinawa!! He just humbly says I have many experiences!! What was great, Woody won the veteran raffle for a ride in Mike Ginter's beautiful SNJ. He said it was a dream come true!! Here he is in the seat!!!
